Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know

Is Lendoo really free? +
The first 14 days you have full access without a credit card or account. After that, 3 active loans are free forever. Only if you want to track more than 3 loans simultaneously do you need Premium at €4.99 per year.
Where is my data stored? +
Only on your own phone in a local database. Lendoo has no server, no account and sends no data to third parties. Backup is your own responsibility.
Can I also track what I borrowed myself? +
Yes. Lendoo works in both directions. Next to "I lend out" there is "I borrowed" — so you also track what you still need to pay back or return.
Does Lendoo work on iPhone? +
The Android version is now available on Google Play. The iOS version is in development and will appear in the App Store soon.
How does backup and restore work? +
Via Settings → Backup you create a ZIP with all your loans and attachments. On restore you see a preview before you confirm — never unexpectedly overwritten.
What is a proof PDF? +
Lendoo generates a proof with names of lender and borrower, amount, duration, payment history and a signature field. Automatically suggested above €200.
Can I restore an archived loan? +
Yes. Go to Archive (▤ top right) and tap "Restore to active" under the loan.
Can I cancel Premium? +
Yes, at any time via Google Play → Subscriptions. Your data is always preserved.
Does the app work offline? +
Yes, fully. All data is stored locally on your phone. Internet is not needed for anything.
Which permissions does Lendoo request and why? +
Lendoo only requests permissions that are directly needed for specific features: Notifications — for local reminders. Exact alarms — so reminders fire at the right time. Boot receive — to restore reminders after your device restarts. Camera — to photograph items directly. Photos / documents — to add attachments from your gallery or file manager. Storage (Android 12 and older) — for the backup ZIP. No permission is used for tracking or advertising. You can revoke permissions at any time via Android Settings.
Who is responsible for my data and backups? +
You are fully responsible for creating and keeping your own backups. Lendoo stores all your data locally only — we have no access to it and cannot recover lost data. Create a backup regularly via Settings → Backup and save the ZIP file to Google Drive, OneDrive or another safe location.
